5 Considerations for a Killer Costume

I love dressing up in costumes, whether for a party, Halloween, or just about any other reason. But not all costumes are for everybody. My son wouldn't be caught dressing as a fairy or a turtle for example, and my daughter would refuse to dress as a troll! Also certain types of costume are more suitable for certain locations and types of events as we will discuss below.
1) First of all, the costume needs to be something you like. For example, any superhero will do for my son, especially Batman or Spiderman, and my daughter loves any animal costumes! For myself, I like Trolls, Goats, and a wide variety. What do you like? It does matter.
2) How warm or cool will it be when and where you dress up? If it's hot, a plush sheep costume might cause you to overheat. If you are outside and it's chilly it might be perfect. If your costume is made of a thin stretchy piece of fabric as many are, it's probably ideal for warm areas.
3) How about access for changing diapers for toddlers and infants and for peeing for adults? Some toddler/infant costumes are designed to facilitate the changing of diapers easily and at a long event this may matter a lot to you. Conversely there are some adult costumes where you must remove at least partially a jump suit to relieve yourself, and these do not do well in crowded bars when drinking beer!
4) Will you be eating and drinking much? Having your mouth clear can make a big difference! If you need to re move a hood or mask, do you mind? The same issues occur with talking a lot.
5) Do you need or want to hide your identity? I love walking up to old friends who simply cannot tell who I am easily, but this may not matter to you!
Remember there is no perfect costume, but plenty of absolutely great choices!
